Good balance of advanced features vs price: It offers many of the features of higher-end timers (sensor for suppression / dry fire, mobile app, stats, shot memory, Bluetooth) without the top-tier price.
Excellent battery life: ~70 hours continuous use is strong for a shot timer, especially if you do a lot of training. USB-C charging is helpful.
Useful app & analytics (“Drills” app): The mobile app adds value — you set drills, sync presets, overlay video, track performance over time. Poor timers without this lose a lot of their potential.
Clean detection of shots: Smart sensor + echo filtering means fewer false triggers (especially in ranges with echo or across shooters). Helpful for both live and dry fire.
Convenient mounting / carry: Belt quick-release or pocket clip options make it easy to use hands-free or wear on the belt when moving around.
It’s more affordable than premium models but still gives many of the features you want.
If you mostly dry fire or do training drills, the app + preset modes + dry fire detection are big pluses.
If you need a rugged, weather-proof timer for harsh outdoor use, you might want to see if a more rugged model (or protect this one) would be better.
If you mostly use it solo or indoors, it will do very well. In competition settings, where robustness, battery, and quick-access features matter, this is still strong, but some premium models might have a slight edge.
