What It Is

The Springfield SAINT Edge is a semi-automatic AR-15-style rifle chambered in 5.56×45 mm NATO (.223 Remington) with a 16-inch barrel. It was designed by Springfield Armory as a higher-end version of their SAINT series, featuring upgraded components and factory enhancements aimed at improving performance, ergonomics, and reliability.

• Upper receiver: Forged 7075-T6 aluminum with hard-coat anodizing, flat top for optics and M-LOK accessory mounting.

• Lower receiver: Machined billet 7075-T6 aluminum, stronger and more rigid than standard forgings, with lightening cuts to reduce weight.

• Accu-Tite™ tension system keeps the upper and lower tightly fitted, reducing unwanted play.

Operating System & Gas

• Operating system: Direct impingement, mid-length gas system that’s smoother and gentler than carbine-length gas on recoil impulse.

• Adjustable, low-profile gas block helps tune the rifle for reliability with a range of ammunition types.

 Trigger & Controls

• Trigger: Springfield’s proprietary Modular Match, short-reset, single-stage trigger, engineered for a smooth, crisp pull.

• Safety: Ambidextrous selector is often included or available.

• Iron sights: Low-profile metal flip-up front and rear sights are included and can co-witness with optics.

• Handguard: Free-floating “patent-pending” M-LOK handguard offers accessory mounting without stressing the barrel — aiding potential accuracy.

• SA Multi-Port muzzle brake/compensator: Helps manage recoil and muzzle rise for quicker follow-up shots.
