Vihtavuori N170 is the slowest-burning member of the N100 series (excluding specialty extruded powders). It features large, single-perforated cylindrical grains—approximately 1.7 mm long and 1.1 mm in diameter—optimized for very large-capacity cases like the .300 Win Mag, .300 Weatherby Mag, and belted magnums .

Best for: Heavy magnum cartridges—7 mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag, .300 Rem Ultra Mag—and ideal for long-range big-game hunting and shooting.

Bulk density: ~960–910 kg/m³ (56.8–59.9 lb/ft³).
Burn rate scale: ~0.1 (on a 0–10 slow-to-fast scale).
